We believe music should be accessible, enjoyable, and inspiring for everyone. Based in Tonteg near Pontypridd, we provide a wide range of musical services designed to engage people of all ages and abilities, from fun lessons for beginners to advanced tuition, workshops, performances, and original compositions. Music is at the heart of everything we do, and our goal is to share that passion with every student, participant, and audience.
Learning music should never feel intimidating. That’s why our piano, theory, and composition lessons are taught in a fun, supportive environment that encourages growth at your own pace. Whether you’re a complete beginner or working towards exams, we make lessons engaging, structured, and enjoyable.
We currently teach students from across Rhondda Cynon Taff, Cardiff, Caerphilly, and Bridgend, delivering over 1,000 individual lessons each year. Our director, Dan Phelps, brings patience, expertise, and enthusiasm to every session, tailoring lessons to suit each student’s ability and goals. You can learn purely for enjoyment or progress through formal qualifications. We also support GCSE and A-Level students with exam preparation, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to succeed.
Beyond individual lessons, we provide African drumming workshops for schools, community groups, youth projects, festivals, and businesses. These sessions are hands-on, energetic, and designed to inspire. Participants explore traditional African instruments such as Djembe drums, Djun Djuns, Ghana bells, and Shekere shakers, taking part in dynamic drum circles that encourage teamwork and creativity.
Workshops are more than just learning rhythms, they bring people together, creating a sense of shared achievement and joy. For schools, they provide cultural education and fun; for businesses, they offer unique team-building experiences.
Music is meant to be shared, and we are proud to provide live performances for a variety of occasions. Our live music services are perfect for weddings, care homes, private functions, and corporate events. Whether you want a calming background performance or an eclectic mix of styles, we bring music that sets the right atmosphere.
Dan has performed extensively throughout the UK, including appearances at St David’s Hall as part of the Welsh Proms and at St Donat’s Arts Centre. He has also played with tribute bands, jazz vocalists, samba groups, and acoustic ensembles, showing his versatility across genres and settings. Every performance is delivered with professionalism and passion, tailored to the audience.
As an award-winning composer, Dan has had his music played on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio 6 Music, and local radio, with critics describing his work as “ambitious”, “expansive”, and “utterly beautiful.” His albums showcase a wide range of styles, from striking solo piano works to more experimental compositions. We offer original music for events, media, and special projects, bringing a unique and professional sound to any brief.
What sets us apart is the personal, dedicated approach we bring to music. We combine professionalism with a friendly, supportive ethos that makes music accessible to all. Whether you want to pick up a new instrument, bring an interactive workshop to your school or business, hire a pianist for your big day, or collaborate on a composition, we provide the expertise and enthusiasm to make it happen.
